Nvidia to Build AI Supercomputer and New HQ in Taiwan
Nvidia announced plans to construct one of the world’s most powerful AI supercomputers in Taiwan, leveraging 10,000 Blackwell GPUs. The system will be hosted by Taiwan’s National Center for High-Performance Computing, with additional support for sovereign AI initiatives like TAIDE and Taiwan AI RAP.
The rollout includes a new Taipei headquarters and collaboration with Foxconn’s Big Innovation Group. TAIDE, a key beneficiary of the project, already drives multilingual chatbots and healthcare tools across the region.
CEO Jensen Huang unveiled the strategy at Computex, emphasizing Taiwan’s strategic role in Nvidia’s AI infrastructure expansion.
